Intercessory Prayer

1 Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you.”

Intercessor Prayer Ministry is a ministry unlike any other. Intercessors are called upon to pray for the protection and covering of the Pastor of the house, his family, the Vision the Pastor has for the house of God, and the general membership.

The Intercessory Prayer Ministry is completely devoted to the edification of the Body of Christ through specific and direct prayer led by the instruction of the Pastor as given by the Holy Spirit.

Philippians 2:5 “Let this mind be in you that is in Christ Jesus”.

Being an Intercessor requires that your Life and your Walk with Christ be one of transparency. While no one is ever turned away, there are characteristics, attributes and mindsets desired:

MUST have a strong personal prayer life
Study the Word of God on your own
Moral character must be above reproach
MUST have a discerning spirit
to to be precise/exact in prayer/praying for the right thing
Available at ALL times
For the body of Christ
Yielded and obedient to the Holy Spirit
Holy Ghost-filled, speaking in other tongues
Consistency
Church attendance
Bible study
Availability
Honesty
Holy Boldness

It is important to be in position at all times. The scripture says that one [intercessor] can put five thousand demons to flight and two can put ten thousand to flight – imagine when we have the entire 100 intercessors interceding --- the entire City of New Orleans would be saved! There would be no more devils here.

The Watson Memorial Teaching Ministries Intercessory time is Sunday mornings, 9:30 am – 10:00am and Tuesday evenings 6:00 pm – 6:30pm in the sanctuary.

1 Timothy 2:1, 3, 8 “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God and Savior; I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
